Leadershape Institute
Each year the Office of Student Leadership & Service sends two students, expense-free, to the National LeaderShape Institute in Champaign, Illinois! LeaderShape occurs throughout the summer, with sessions occurring at different times. Students attend for one week. For a list of the most current dates for LeaderShape, visit the LeaderShape website.
The two LeaderShape students for 2008-2009 are Jasmine Johnson & Chelsea Schott! See what each of them had to say about their LeaderShape experience!
The LeaderShape Institute is an interactive, energizing, and unique experience that builds leadership skills no other program can match. And since 1986, over 20,000 participants from all over the world have graduated from this program. Youd be participating with 60 college students from all over the USA. You will also create a LeaderShape Project- your vision and plan of action for you to implement when you return to Emory University.
But be prepared! It is six days of non-stop self-discovery and learning from practical experiences that build your leadership concepts and abilities. It's go, go, go 12 hours a day... And you'll love it! Once you get back from LeaderShape, your experience does not end there! You will be working with a LeaderShape Coach to help you make your LeaderShape Project a reality.
The application for this amazing experience is made available in November, with interviews taking place in the spring semester.
