Orientation Leaders
Orientation Leaders (OL's) serves as university liaisons to all new students and families. Each OL is responsible for assisting in all facets of orientation including planning, implementing, and evaluating all orientation programs.
Qualifications for Orientation Leaders:
- Each candidate must be a full-time Emory University undergraduate student, remain enrolled through the upcoming fall semester, and have completed 12 credit hours at Emory University by January 2009.
- Each candidate must have at least a 2.5 overall grade point average at the time of application and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative average throughout employment (circumstances such as a disability which might have impacted GPA will be considered on an individual basis).
- No student may hold the position while on academic or disciplinary probation as defined by the Emory University Undergraduate Code of Conduct.
- A student selected to be an Orientation Leader must not serve as an RA, SA, or SRA during the 2009 fall semester.
Requirements Orientation Leaders:
Listed below are basic requirements that all Orientation Leaders must meet.
- Orientation Leaders are required to take a minimum of 12 credit hours during the 2009 spring semester.
- Orientation Leaders must attend five (5) spring orientation training sessions
- Orientation Leaders must arrive at the Center for Student Leadership and Engagement on the Wednesday before Orientation, and commit to attending all orientation-related programs through Friday after classes resume.
- Orientation Leaders must assist in coordination of assessment and wrap-up of the Orientation program.
