Happy New Year! Student Involvement, Leadership, and Transitions (SILT) is excited to introduce The Source, our monthly newsletter designed to keep you informed and equipped for success. Sent at the start of each month, The Source will provide updates, important dates, and valuable resources to support your organization. Stay tuned for news you need to lead effectively and make the most of the semester ahead!

  IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES

 The Spring Student Involvement Fair will be held Jan. 28-30, from 7 to 9 p.m. Student organizations will be assigned a night and table based on their category. Assignments will be sent out a week before the fair.

 The annual Student Organization Achievement and Recognition Awards application process will open on Jan. 30. The Emory community is invited to recognize the key players in organizational and leadership development across campus for their outstanding achievements and service.

Advisor Support Series

 

Are you an advisor seeking guidance on how to support your student organization? The Advisor Support Series is launching soon and will provide training on guiding student leaders in financial planning, managing budgets, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.

The Hub gets a New Look

 

We are thrilled to announce that The Hub will be transitioning to a new and improved platform. This platform brings several exciting features, including the ability to host ticket sales, collect dues, and create dedicated webpages for all recognized student organizations.

 

More details about the transition, training opportunities, and how to make the most of the new system will be shared throughout the semester. Stay tuned for updates as we work to enhance your organization’s experience!

This resource is designed to support your success as a student organization leader, offering essential information on leadership, compliance, and effective organization management. Access the course anytime, whether you need a quick refresher or want to dive deeper into a topic.

  REMINDERS  

Event Registration

 

All Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) are required to register their meetings, events, and programs on The Hub. Registration submission should occur at least 30 days before the event to ensure all parties have adequate time for review.

Supplemental Funding

 

RSOs can request supplemental funding from their Divisional Council or Executive Agency.

Contact your Chief Financial Officer for more information about this process.

On Saturday, Jan. 20, the Center for Civic and Community Engagement will host Emory’s Day On to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. A variety of service projects are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
