A student leader is a student with an official role in an organization. They are often elected or appointed, responsible for decision-making or event planning. Their responsibilities should be outlined in the organization's constitution and accessible through The Hub.
Balance: We encourage our student leaders to enrich their experience and campus life while maintaining their academic commitments and progressing toward their degrees. If you are needing support in finding balance, please know our team is here to support you. We can work with you on topics ranging from time management to sleep.
Collaboration: As resources are finite and so are students’ schedules, student organizations are encouraged to collaborate for maximum benefit to the student community.
Equity: Impactful student organizations embrace diversity, encourage democratic leadership, and actively seek each member’s input in decision-making.
Learning: Student organizations serve as learning hubs, fostering personal growth and leadership skills among members, regardless of their interest in the group's mission.
Inclusivity: Our student organizations strive for broad, welcoming membership. Any selection process should be clear and free of bias, ensuring equal involvement opportunities.
Respect: We value respectful dialogues that honor everyone's unique contributions and perspectives in our student organizations.
